I think most photographers will agree that every now and then it is good to get together with a few creative friends and throw a few ideas around. Stan challenged designer Phil Woodhead to come up with a dress purely made out of the Financial Times and we were really impressed with his creation. Paul from Paul David Hairdressing in Duke Street followed the city feel of the shoot and styled Anna’s hair in this sleeked back put up, with a feminine twist. In the studio Stan used coloured gels on the background and him and Anna came came up with some great poses, here is the end product.

Rachel & Ben – Wynyard Hall Wedding

Emma & Ross Wedding at The Morritt

Ross & Emma were recently married at St Edmunds Church, High Coniscliffe, followed by their reception at The Morritt, Greta Bridge. Emma works for Getty Images and had very high standards about the quality and style of images she wanted, so we were really pleased when she chose us to photograph her and Ross’ wedding. The weather was amazing and the drinks reception was perfect in the Morritt’s beautiful gardens, everyone really enjoyed chilling while the couple mingled and made the most of the lovely sunshine.

Gloria & Samuel, Hong Kong Wedding – Pre Wedding Shoot in Durham City

Originally from Hong Kong, Gloria & Samuel met at Durham University, before following their seperate career paths and returning to Hong Kong where they drifted apart. Following a series of events they met up and fell in love! Gloria contacted us last year when they were looking for a photographer to photograph their pre wedding shoot, for which they very fittingly chose, Durham. They wanted to go back to the very beginning of where their relationship began, and we were very privileged to share a day with them both, and learn more about their story.

Samuel & Gloria were so delighted with the finished result that they asked us to go to Hong Kong and photograph their Chinese Wedding. How could we refuse? We are just about packed and ready for the off and can’t wait, to meet up with them again. We have been looking back at their pre wedding shoot this week and wanted to share some of their images. Catherine & Sean – London Photography Shoot

This year we have been asked to photograph at some great locations for both pre wedding shoots as well as weddings. Keep your eyes peeled for more lovely shoots coming soon…..

We are due to photograph Catherine and Sean’s Headlam Hall Wedding in the summer, so when they suggested that we go down to visit them in London and capture some images of them near to there home in Wapping High Street we just couldn’t resist! This gave us a taste of what it must be like to be a London Wedding Photographer, with all the hustle, bustle and vibrancy there is all around the capital. Catherine & Sean welcomed us into their home which overlooks the Thames and Canary Wharf, where they warmed us up with coffee and biscuits, while we caught up on their latest wedding plans. We started off walking along Wapping High Street, which still has all the old fashioned tall wharfs and cobbled streets, we ventured down to Wapping Pier where the temperature seemed to drop a further ten degrees, then off to a quaint little park for a quick snowball fight!

There was never a dull moment as Catherine and Sean were full of mischief as you can see! We left the High Street and headed towards St Katherine’s Dock before finishing off at Tower Bridge, isn’t the skyline amazing! We had a great day full of memories, fun, emotion and chance to shoot some arty images too, just how a pre wedding shoot should be!

Ananth & Arpita – Bolton Abbey Pre wedding Shoot

We are so looking forward to photographing Ananth & Arpita’s Indian Wedding ceremony at The Temple in Bradford and the festivities in Harrogate. Bolton Abbey was the perfect choice for their pre wedding shoot as Ananth had proposed to Arpita at a local hotel. It was a stunning but rather chilly wintery day which was the perfect backdrop from the richness of their traditional Indian outfits.

Ananth & Arpita were a little apprehensive, as like many couples they weren’t too confident about being photographed, but it didn’t take long before Arpita’s mischievousness came through and we were all laughing and enjoying the shoot.

Great location, beautiful couple and they love the images!

Ruth & Martin – Headlam Hall Wedding

I recently posted the Martin & Ruth’s pre wedding shoot at Low Force, and promised that their wedding would follow soon. They had a beautiful December day at Headlam Hall, although no snow, which Ruth thought would have been pretty! Ruth looked amazing in her Ian Stuart dress and she never stopped smiling. Their guests were lovely and there was a definite party atmosphere all day. Martin is a natural in front of the camera, but even he couldn’t outshine Ruth and their beautiful little girl, Alba.

Becky – Bin bag Fashion Shoot

Becky was looking to add to her modelling portfolio, and as usual Stan and dress designer Phil rose to the challenge. Using only a few bin bags and a little net, they came up with three different looks.

Cliff & Gemma Pre Wedding Shoot at High Force

We were so pleased that Cliff & Gemma chose High Force for their pre wed shoot, it’s just so impressive!….not to mention very noisy!

As I think you can see it was rather cold and windy, but we were all wrapped up well and I love the splash of colour Gemma’s scarf lends to the shots.

Lovely couple! Great sports, despite the elements! We can’t wait for their wedding at The Morritt later in the year.
