Tom & Lynsey

The Secret Wedding Garden

What Tom and Lynsey had to say

"Perfection, professional and full of fun. Jane and Stan were amazing throughout the whole process from start to finish. Family, friends and guests enjoyed reliving our day all over again thanks to the story captured in photographs.

First the picture capturing our daughters personality as a baby to capturing our love and happiness 8 years on at our wedding.

We highly recommend Jane and Stan for any occasion ❤

Forever grateful for your talents!!!"

We were hugely privileged to have a sneak peek into Middleton Lodge's Walled Garden, when it was overgrown and very wild a few years ago. We remember James striding off ahead of us whilst telling  us excitedly about his plans for a bespoke wedding venue. Not many years down the line his dream has become a reality and James and Rebecca have created a beautiful, tranquil space hugely sought after and much loved. A place where couples can't wait to bring along their family and friends to share in the wedding celebrations.

Just like us Tom and Lynsey fell in love with The Fig House and a soon as they visited it booked it for their wedding day. I have known Tom and his family since he was a young boy and love the special bond he has with Lynsey, they really are soulmates. We first photographed them as a couple when Evie was a baby and our paths have crossed on numerous occasions over the past few years, so we were very excited to be able to photograph their wedding day for them.

How the day Unfolded

The girls stayed over at The Coach House at Middleton Lodge the night before the wedding, so they were exceptionally chilled on the morning. This was also helped by the fact that Lynsey knew both her hair stylist, Catherine and Make up artist Selena really well. Once hair and make up were complete we all moved over to the Potting Shed bedrooms which are located within the walled garden meaning that once they were all ready and the guests in situe, the girls literally had to walk out of the door and they had arrived at the wedding. Although Stan and I have photographed in the The Walled Garden and Fig House previously this was our first outdoor ceremony so we were almost as excited as Lynsey and Tom to be there. The weather was exceptionally kind to us all day and with so many lovely guests in such breathtaking surroundings we really didn't know what to photograph first. Lynsey was walked down the aisle and given away by her Grandfather who along with her Nana (who had recently passed away) had brought her up from being a little girl, so as you can imagine this was a very poignant part of the day.

The speeches were funny and entertaining, the band were great and the dancing energetic. A beautiful day and lots of wonderful memories made. Thank you Tom and Lynsey for choosing us to photograph such an amazing day.

We cannot recommend this amazing venue enough, all the guests loved the charming rustic setting, the open space is perfect for children to play and make new friends, while the adults can relax and enjoy the canapes and drinks on the lawns.
